It’s no secret that I’m a big Mia Bella fan.

Kerry and the Mia Bella Team truly love what they do. It shines through during their treatments and creates a fabulous atmosphere in the salon.

On my last visit I reviewed their beautiful microdermabrasion treatment and with my Birthday just around the corner Kerry invited me back for some relaxing pampering as a special birthday treat…. I hardly needed my arm twisted.

On arrival to the salon I was wowed by their new renovations – it looked even more luxurious and glamorous than usual. The new shop fit out is elegant and chic which made me even more excited for my treatment. As we entered the treatment room I instantly felt relaxed as I was welcomed by the beautiful smell of oils and the dimly lit room. I knew I was in for some good R&R.

To begin with, Kerry steamed my skin which opened my pores while deeply cleansing my skin. The process cleaned out all of the toxins that I have accumulated over the course of my Birthday month (due to all my extra celebrating).

She then moved onto a gentle exfoliation that lifted all the dead skin cells followed by another cleanse. The next step – which without doubt was my favourite – was the multi-vitamin mask. I could feel my skin absorbing and enjoying the hydration. While the mask penetrated my skin with all its goodness, Kerry gave my head some love with the best head massage I’ve ever had!

I was so relaxed I could feel myself dribbling! I was in a world of bliss and felt a million miles away. After my gorgeous head massage Kerry removed my mask with beautiful hot towels and followed with a cleanse. Just as I was starting to feel my treatment was almost over, she applied a lovely facial massage oil and gave me the most indulgent massage that sent me off to la la land and had me convinced Kerry had magic hands.

We then finished with a lovely Dermalogica moisturizer and eye cream and my relaxing facial had come to an end. Kerry brought me in a water as I slowly came round – arriving back to reality. As soon as I looked in the mirror I noticed the glow I had and how much more revitalized and fresh my skin looked. Not only did I feel fabulous my skin also looked hydrated and healthy. Amazing what can be accomplished in just over an hour.

Are you ready for a pampering?  One lucky reader is going enjoy the same Mia Bella experience as I have. For a chance to win simply share with your favourite song and why? The judges will choose their favourite answer and announce a winner on the 28th of July at 7.30pm Good Luck x

Time In a Bottle by Jim Croce. I first heard this song when I was about 13yrs old and it was the theme song for a movie about a woman who survived cancer. The last scene of the movie was her partner running down the middle of the street yelling “She lives, She lives”as the song played. I thought that it was the most beautiful song I had ever heard and I still feel that way. “If i could save time in a bottle the first thing that Id like to do is to save everyday till eternity passes away just to spend them with you” and isnt that exactly how we feel about our love ones?

My favourite song would have to be Candyman by Christina Aguilera. For starters she looks amaze in the film clip, and secondly she sings like an absolute goddess. Her voice is so amazing, and this song really gets me jiving and happy. I love to dance but I also love to relax so this facial would be absolutely perfect before I have to go back to studying. X

January Rain by Hunters & Collectors. This song makes me very reminiscent. I remember from a very young age my parents played a lot of their music (holy grail/ throw your arms around me etc). We had a CD of their collected works so on family road trips that was always a popular choice.

When I was 15 I bought myself a record player because my parents had kept their extensive collection of albums. I then listened to that album pretty much on repeat especially though grade 12. Although this song wasn’t one of my parents favorites it just resonated with me. It makes me feel very somber although I’m not even sure of the “meaning” of the song.

For me it just doesn’t really matter what the song is about but moreso how it connects me to moments in time.

I’m Every Woman by Whitney Houston is one of my all time favourites. It just makes you feel good and beautiful as a woman and it’s a fun song that lifts the spirits whenever you hear it. There is nothing better than hearing one of those songs from the past that just makes you want to sing out loud and get up and dance and smile. And there is nothing like a good facial to make you feel beautiful and amazing!

I don’t have a favorite song but i do have a least favorite song which is ‘Let It Go” from kids movie frozen, my littlies where singing it that much that i was singing it in my head at ALL hours of the night, its closely followed by twinkle twinkle as my littler ones make me sing that at least 50 times a day, does make it worth it to see their faces lit up when i do 🙂
