Father’s Day is fast approaching and I thought it was only appropriate that I make sure the Dads were included. Father’s Day means so many things to so many different people especially in the world we live in today where family dynamics are not always Mum, Dad and 3 kids. To me Father’s Day like Mother’s Day is about celebrating those in your life that make it better just by being in it. It’s about celebrating someone who touches your life and that you can rely on through the good and the bad. So, although my questions are Father’s Day related please feel free to enter them all and celebrate someone who enriches your world on Father’s Day.
One of the common disagreements in our house is that Mr Tink refuses to take his phone out when he goes on his Dirt Bike. Deep in the bush with no phone, no way of contacting anyone if something were to happen – it is beyond a sore point in our house. When the opportunity came up to review a brand new heavy duty phone cover from LifeProof I said yes immediately.
Finally a solution to our issues and no more concerns about his phone being damaged – no more excuses!
When the cover arrived from LifeProof I was taken aback by all the incredible things it could do and protect against. Waterproof up to 2 metres and also drop proof up to 2 metres, it is the James Bond of phone covers!
I unwrapped the cover expecting it to be big and bulky and was surprised by how slim this incredible case was. Before I fitted the phone cover to Mr Tink’s phone I followed the instructions and did the waterproof test to ensure all was perfect and then proceeded to install it on his phone.
It didn’t take long before we got to put his cover to work, Mr Tink dropped his phone off the roof of the car within an hour of getting it, not a huge distance but certainly without the case it would have scratched the phone, but there was not so much as a graze. A few days later he was cleaning our outdoor spa and managed to lean in too far and dunked his phone in, once again no damage and no issues.
Now for a review we should have dropped the phone from 2 metres or thrown the phone in the pool but unlike the LifeProof case we are not James Bond and it felt odd to do that (plus I’m still scarred from my unbreakable plates episode – PS they did break!) but given all the research I did on the company and the many YouTube clips I’ve watched, I’m more than convinced it would survive. This phone cover would be ideal for builders, tradies or anyone operating machinery. It is without doubt the most heavy duty phone cover I’ve ever seen.
