Mrs Tink Lust’s over Lust Mineral Makeup

I must say there is nothing I love more than a good cosmetics review. I’m a girly girl, I love makeup and when I find something I love I live, breathe and wear it religiously. For some time now I’ve been chasing a good foundation that I can use from day to night that doesn’t feel heavy, gives full coverage but also allows me to sweat and be active at training without having to remove my makeup. I have been searching for this wonder foundation for quite some time so imagine my surprise when it should come across my desk to review from my friends at ColorPop Cosmetics. ColorPop is renowned for bringing high quality cosmetics direct to their clients at a great price. Unlike major department stores that charge prices that often require a remortgage on the house, ColorPop are affordable and not only sell the products but they also use them daily on clients for events and weddings etc so you know you can trust their staying power and quality.

For many years now I’ve been a lover of mineral makeup and the benefits that it brings however never before had I tried Lust Minerals… And it turns out I was saving the best for last! Lust Minerals specialise in pure, natural professional Australian Made makeup and they are vegan friendly! For my review I was given the Mineral Loose Powder which is SPF 15+ a huge bonus for me which had me smiling before I’d even tried it.

To apply I simply lightly tapped the back of the container onto the lid and swirled my Designer Makeup Tools Kabuki Brush into the Mineral Powder tapping off any excess and then applied to my skin in a circular motion. Application took approx 3 mins and I was amazed at how such a small amount went a long way. The minerals felt light and left a creamy dewy finish with a small hint of shimmer. It covered my dark eyes (thank you Miss one) pigmentation on my cheeks (thank you pregnancy) and a few blemishes I had (thank you family block of chocolate) and the coverage was fabulous without feeling heavy.

Before: naked face. After Lust Mineral Make up Foundation with my own bronzer, blush and eyebrow pencil

Later that night I had an event to run to and was against the clock so rather than washing off and reapplying I simple touched up added eye makeup and blush and out the door I went. The staying power of this foundation is incredibly good and my skin felt clean while wearing it, even with the extra application.

Having tried many many mineral foundations I feel I’ve found a real winner and one I will continue to use for years to come. 10 points to ColorPop Cosmetics on yet another fab product I will certainly be checking out more from Lust Minerals in the future.

Mascara and tinted Chapstick! They’re my key items because if I’m too busy With mr 2, mascara makes me look less naked and Chapstick keeps my lips protected from hot Qld weather. A tinted one is great for when you need to dress up a little.

Must must must have some kind of bronzer or blush on my cheeks. Just to make me glow and look alive and not washed out. Love mineral makeup and this Lust Mineral makeup looks amazing! Thanks for the fantastic review Mrs Tink πŸ™‚

Mascara is everything. I can wake up looking a mess, but as soon as I put mascara on I feel like a new woman. It makes my eyes bigger and bluer and I just look more energetic. I don’t know what I would do without the stuff!
