Mrs Tink gets Jiggy with Jura

My name is Mrs Tink and I have a confession…. I’m a coffee snob. For many years now I’ve been a long time sufferer and have found it impossible to find somewhere that can make a decent double shot small cappuccino with half the amount of skim milk.

Baristas cringe as I walk in, I think I may give off a coffee snob vibe, and time and time again I leave feeling sick from too much milk and not enough ‘coffee pow’ (a Mrs Tink word for coffee intensity). I’d been long bitching to all who would listen that I was going to ditch coffee and try something new until I received an offer too good to refuse.
Jura the leaders in fab coffee machines asked me to review one of their gorgeous machines the Impressa A9. Having owned multiple coffee machines before, I’d had my fair share of at home coffee machine horror stories and then there was the dreaded cleaning processes! But, I’d heard lots of amazing things about Jura and who was I to turn down the Rolls Royce of coffee machines? Sign me up Eddie!
The day my new roommate arrived it was love at first sight. The Impressa A9 was sleek, sexy and it looked professional. I figured even if it made terrible coffee at least it would look amazing in my kitchen. I unpacked and skimmed through the instructions (instructions are not my strong point) eager to try out this gorgeous machine and to my luck the set up was super dooper easy.

Within 10 minutes I’d filled it with my Zarraffa’s coffee beans and I was off and rolling. One press of the computerised touchscreen and Bob’s your uncle! I pressed espresso first, followed by cappuccino and within seconds the air filled with the most incredible aroma and I quickly knew the machine didn’t just look good – it was incredible. I excitedly grabbed my cup ready for the moment of truth and took a big sip. It was HEAVEN! Hand on my heart the best coffee I have ever had. Ever!

Not only did it taste fantastic, it was quick, easy and pain free. I then insisted I make everyone in my presence a coffee because I felt so clever, I was the barista now and a very good one at that. The Jura machine made me look as though I’d been a pro coffee maker for years. So needless to say I’ve become a little addicted and can’t wait to wake up each morning to use it.

Plus one HUGE perk is I’m saving a fortune! Last week I saved $30 on take away coffees which means more money for shoes and shiny things.

I love a coffee first thing when I wake up, a nice flat white with a nutty flavour in the morning then in the afternoon after school pick up a latte with a perfume aroma just to start relaxing before I under take night duties with the children.

I have to admit I am definitely a ‘can’t function until I have had my first coffee’ kind of gal!
My love for a good caffeine fix knows no bounds. I’ll happily travel all over the Sunshine Coast in search of some coffee goodness, I have a bulging purse filled with loyalty cards that I’ve gathered up on my quest to prove it!
I usually opt for a skinny flat white but when I’m feeling a little bit naughty, I’ll combine my two loves … Coffee and chocolate!
Put a skinny mocha (oh the irony!) in front of me any day and I’m yours … For the next hour at least!
My name is Bonnie Lowes and I’m a coffee addict 😍💗☕️😍

I’m a flat white girl ! It’s best not to talk to me until I’ve had my first coffee in the morning!
Most of my friends know that if they invite me over for coffee I bring my own, as I cannot drink instant coffee! I’m a self confessed coffee snob! 😍😍😍

My coffee is something that I dont want to rush. None of this travel cup and drink on the run business for me. Coffee is to be savored and enjoyed so a delightful cappuccino that I will slowly sip away on while taking in the wonderful flavour as I feel all my cares just float away.

My coffee style – is quick coffee sachets that you buy in a box at the supermarket. Can you imagine all you coffee people – what it is like resorting to these sachets! Sign! As a regular carer, sitting with a ‘coffee’, whilst I care for my little grand daughters – and also my elderly mother – these poor substitutes for ‘cappuccino coffee’ is my relaxing reward that I look forward to. I know I know…I am soooo missing out on a delicious coffee – using an amazing Jurra machine and fresh roasted coffee beans. Now that would help me, with jiggling/horsey rides on my knee of my youngest grand daughter and energy to run around after the 3 years old – saying Nannie, nannie, catch me! and the ahhhhhhh, you know we all know the ahhhhhh, when you drink a coffee (OK and wine!)……after an exhausting day!

I miss my snobby shop. I used to sit near the counter and ask questions about how his beans were roasted and the size of his grind. My man would come home from work shaking from 7 espresso’s at his after work meeting… he was a flower farmer and brought me fresh cut flowers so I trained from everywhere I could to make that perfect cup of life giving espresso to show how grateful I was. We go camping with an espresso machine taking pride of place in the car and when on the road we have a burner and a little gas stove espresso maker. We judge coffee every where we go and have a list of acceptable coffee establishments and their hours of operation. We ALWAYS buzz our own beans. That freshness is hard to beat. My biggest problem is my travel cup. I hate it but it’s not my first and my search will go on. My coffee style? Totally Passionately Fussy Fun… I even tip coffee grounds in my vacuum for a yum incentive to clean!!

I don’t like coffee myself but love to win this for my hubby, he has only recently started to drink coffee and apparently he is a coffee snob too lol, he drinks depending on the day ahead either double or triple shot ristretto mocha on skinny no cream. When I get it for him from Zarraffa’s and I start to say the order the staff go ‘ Oh is that for Tom’ before I even finish saying my order. Apparently not many order this 🙂

I would love this for my mum, she just loves her Coffee to start her day . Mum can’t get out and about due to her age , she would be thrilled to have a fancy coffee (that’s what she calls Cappuccino) on hand everyday .
