Mrs Tink gets her Neutral on with Glitterlicious

I’m a gal who loves her glitz and loves her glam – I’m sure those who are regular readers find this news truly shocking (giggles).
Going to the salon to have my talons done is an experience I don’t take lightly, and choosing a colour for me is a painstaking decision (don’t even get me started on nail art, which is a whole other level of seriousness).

So, when faced with 3 of my biggest events of the year: RACQ Care Flight Gala Ball, Melbourne Cup Day and one of my besties Birthdays I was panic stricken. How on earth was going to find a colour that went with all of my costume changes? Now the UN may be trying to find world peace but I was dealing with my own (first world) problem – ‘What nail colour will I choose that will go with it all?’

I vented my frustration to my girl AnneMarie, owner of my fave haunt Glitterlicious Beautique, and without skipping a beat she suggested something neutral….. Hmmm neutral I pondered feeling myself in unfamiliar territory, unsure how to answer. Neutral, it’s certainly never a word anyone has ever used to describe me – over the top, colourful, and loud are usually recycled describing words used to describe my personally but neutral? Given that I was backed into a corner with no other ideas and on the verge of having a nail tanty I nodded and went with AnneMarie’s plan. After all she’d never let me down before.

As we got started AnneMarie filed and shaped my nails (have I mentioned she’s the shaping queen?) and I then she built me a nail. Yes, you read right, she built me a nail! No tips for this little lady. AnneMarie sculpted my nails using acrylic and built a tip from scratch. I was impressed beyond words. What can’t she do? She then applied the neutral coat and after they set she simply applied a clear coat and BAM BABY! Luscious neutral nails, and they looked fab. Perfect for multiple events and they looked very natural and classic, I was very impressed and happy I listened to AnneMarie’s words of wisdom.

Since rocking my new neutrals I’ve since heard from the young girls in my office I’m ‘on trend’ and in fact quite cool (well I made that bit up but you get the picture)  You heard it here first ladies ‘Neutral Nails are in for Spring’ and 3 events in and I’m loving my new look and think I’m hooked.

I’d love to win because I’m trying to stop biting my nails.. And even tho it would take 2 trains and 2 buses to get there… It would be worth it to have such a lovely experience and nails that look a million bucks! The natural is gorgeous Mrs Tink.. But pink rules always!!
