Mrs Tink finishes her #RVR90 Ultraceuticals Journey

Since having my babies I have experienced pigmentation, or as Mr Tink likes to call it, my ‘Panda Mask’. My Panda Mask is not cute, it’s not fun and it’s certainly not cuddly. It’s a pain in the arse to be frank. It had aged my skin and gave me the appearance of always being flushed, which made having a spray tan or wearing blush/bronzer a huge issue – going makeup free was also an ordeal. Sadly after many attempts to remove it, I had succumbed to the notion I would be stuck with it forever. I had learnt to cover it with enough camouflage I could have won some sort of award from the army.

A few months ago I went to see the team at Clinic One for my quarterly Botox treatment (yes Botox, if you missed that one click here), when Jess and Nicollette aka ‘skin dream team’ questioned my dark pigmentation and how long I’d had it. Cringing, I explained I’d had it for years but it was now so noticeable I could barely cover it. Upon inspection Jess told to me that my skin was not only covered with pigmentation but I also had Melasma, a hormonal side effect that is extremely hard to remove. Great, I thought, it’s here for good. Considering my crazy hormones it was undoubtedly only going to get worse!

Seeing my panic, Jess popped on her superhero cape, and like a ray of light she produced a product she thought may help – Ultraceuticals. Ultracetuicals are a sophisticated product medically designed for dermatologists, it’s not a beauty product, it’s specially created for skin conditions such as pigmentation. Jess went on to tell me that Ultraceuticals had recently released a RVR90 (Real Visible Results) Skin Journey that promised results in 90 days. Giddy with excitement, I was ready to be signed up. I’d had pigmentation for years so a promise of results in 90 days, I was in baby! Sign me up. Jess said that while it would be tough, and the chances of me removing it all was were not likely but she assured me my skin tone and appearance would look better and the pigmentation would be less noticeable… Ding, ding, ding, let’s do this!

To begin, Jess started me on the Ultra Hydrating Milk Cleanser a gorgeous Creme cleanser that my skin loved, with a little bit going a long way. I actually looked forward to the cleanse at night because it made my skin feel incredible. My instructions were to cleanse once in the morning and twice at night. This is something I’d never done before so it took a little adjusting but by the end of Week One my skin was glowing. Alongside the cleanser I used the Even Skintone Serum at night, it’s designed to even out skin tone so it was perfect for reducing the appearance of pigmentation. This was a step I loved, the cool liquid was divine to apply as it felt nice on my skin. The next step was to use the Ultra Moisturiser Cream, a gorgeous luxe moisturiser that my skin adored, it was so beautiful and nourishing. In the mornings I used the SunActive SPF 50+ Face and Body Lotion, a fabulous moisturiser that had a SPF 50+ to ensure my skin was safe in the sun.

By Week Two my skin was glowing, and unlike other new regimes I had tried, my skin was not resisting or breaking out. I have extremely sensitive skin so it doesn’t take a lot to irritate my skin but these products left my face feeling nourished, soft and clean.

At my first fortnightly check-up, Jess did a Ultra Brightening Accelerator Mask and this would be alternated fortnightly with a Vitamin A peel until the end of the 90 days. These treatments are designed to activate your products further and nourish your skin to it’s fullest potential. The first visit was like going to a day spa, so relaxing and my skin felt as smooth as a baby’s bum for days after.

I continued using my products at home each day and I was excited to use them as my skin was getting better and better by the day. By Week Four people were commenting and telling me how ‘happy’ I looked. Unbelievable to think that in just four weeks my skin was really transforming.

At my Week Four check-up Jess did another Vitamin A peel on my skin, this one felt slightly hot at the time but was in no way painful. For a couple of days after my skin peeled and left gorgeous fresh plump skin. Peel baby peel!

By Week Six Mr Tink was curious as to what I was doing as even he was noticing a big change. After seeing Jess we added in an extra step, a beautiful vitamin b serum that felt silky to touch. Once again my skin loved it – no irritation or sensitivity.

As I hit the Week Eight mark I was addicted, my selfies were noticeably different, my skin looked clear, and my pores were non-existent. I was floored, astonished that my skin could look so different in just eight weeks!

With each appointment Jess and Nicollete recorded my progress, giving my skin a gold star for all its good work. The results were real and visible not only to the microscope but even to Mr Tink’s eye who, God love him, is not super observant. I looked younger, fresher and less tired. We then added in a Ultra A Skin Perfecting Serum to further enhance results and also an Ultra A Perfecting Eye Cream to work on my fine lines.

Unlike other skin care programs, I found Ultraceuticals simple to use and extremely easy to incorporate in to my ‘mum routine’, which consisted of showering with my kids and 30 seconds in front of the mirror each morning. My skin just got better and better as the days progressed, and with each day I gained my pre-mummy glow back. I literally wanted to shout from the treetops and share with everyone what I’d been doing because it felt so liberating to be in control and take charge of something that had tormented me for years. I felt confident to wear no makeup without worrying about my panda mask getting comments, gradually I wore less as I wasn’t concerned about covering it up.

As I reached the end of my #RVR90 journey I was sad it was over until I realised I was just getting started and the results would only keeping getting better. I’m officially converted and will be a loyal Ultraceuticals user for life. I can honestly say it’s the best thing I’ve ever done for my skin. The products are not super cheap, the cleansers start at $52 and serums at $99, but unlike a lot of the rubbish you could buy for not much less this actually works. It delivers exactly what it says it will and the proof is in the pudding.

Would you like to try Ultraceuticals? I would love you to which is why I’ve teamed up Clinic One and Ultraceuticals to giveaway an Ultra Replenishing Mask valued at $69. For a chance to win, simply share with me why you would like to win? I will choose my favourite answer and announce a winner on the 17th of August at 10pm.

Good luck x

My skin really doesnt like Winter at all and it screams for extra hydration. In October my skin is in for the biggest shock ever when I leave Australia for my dream trip of the USA where I will stay until December and with luck see snow fall for the first time ever. All very exciting except I know my skin will be packing up its glow and saying “Im not playing” Im sure with all that I have read that the Ultraceuticals Replenishing Mask would help calm my skin and feed it the extra hydration that it will so badly need.

I would love to win. I have sensitive skin which breaks out at the drop of a hat (thanks hormones!). I also have pigmentation and broken capillaries all over my face. Safe to say, I’m embarrassed to leave the house without makeup and even then my confidence not so great. All because of my skin. I’d love to feel happy in my own skin again and hopefully Ultraceuticals can help!

Cleansing my skin more than once a night is something I don’t do, maybe I could try that. I do love a good cleanser that doesn’t dry the skin but makes it feel clean and fresh. A good moisturiser that leaves the skin feeling moisturised in the morning is very rare and hard to find but worth the trouble seeking it out. I do use a mud mask maybe once a week on weekends when I have a little more time and that does feel good so I am a fan of masks. Help for the skin is always high on my priorities and I would love to try something new as always.

My skin just like me has a tired and exhausted appearance. Toilet training one precious little one has me up between 11pm and 2am almost every night. I and my poor skin would ever so love a pamper but laying back in one of those big chairs I’d be asleep for sure!! So this at home wonder perker upper would be just what I need to help me feel like I’m not being neglected for a few minutes.
